When I was a kid I got on the stitch ride and was absolutely terrified I did not like that ride at all...

I actually sat in The Alien attraction like 3 times as a kid, before they dismantled it. I LOVED it, granted it scared the piss out of me but I'll always have fond memories of it. There were even little air vents / speakers next to your ears making it seem like it was breathing and growling right next to you. You could tell who was new to the ride whenever somebody started screaming so loud it echoed across the room.

I rode the Alien ride when I was about 7 years old and it scared the sht out of me.

Rode many times and got to see the behind the scenes to these rides. Had one of the engineers date a family member. I'll never forget the awesome and roaming trashcans that would talk to you. Alexa level AI communication back in the 90s.

lmao i remember being on the extraTERRORestrial attraction as a kid. my dad was with us and he was always cautious about the rides he actually went on, as opposed to the ones he just waited on the sidelines for. he had two hard stops: spinning and loops. we waited in line forever and then we sat down and my dad freaked out and bailed bc he thought that the overhead bars = spinning ride he left with a staff member and we finished the attraction. lol

OH MY GOD WHEN THAT STITCH RIDE FIRST CAME OUT I WENT ON IT AND IT SCARED THE ABSOLUTE SHIT OUT OF ME AS A LITTLE FIVE YEAR OLD

Alien Encounter was so sick dude. I was pretty young but I loved it.

I remember going through the alien encounter ride as a kid back in 98. It was pretty terrifying haha. It was very well done. There was a point where a guy with a flashlight on a catwalk asks "Is everyone okay?!?!" And I distinctively remember my older brother screaming "NOOOO GET ME OUT OF HERE!!!!" in pure fear. Everyone laughed at him.. then the guy on the catwalk gets eaten, the flashlight goes out and the ride goes on. They would pump the aliens growls into speakers built into the seat and would simultaneously pump hot air and water onto you to mimic it being right next to you, breathing and drooling..... Ready to eat... It was sick

I was gonna say that the Alien encounter thing was like the Stitch one before they stated it. Feels nostalgic seeing the Stitch ride, last saw it in like 2012

Man, I actually remember doing that alien ride at Disney when I was a kid. It started out just like the video and the alien would escape. But as soon as it did the lights go out, just sitting in the pitch black for 5-10 minutes. Then I felt something grab my shoulder then some breathing on the back of my neck. I can't remember all of it but they end up capturing it and the ride ends. First time I got to experience being awestruck and scared shitless at the same time lol.

I wish I was in the time when the BTTF ride existed. 😔

My grandfather actually helped with the mechanics of the back to the future ride!! Fun fact he got fired because he didn’t want to shave his beard. He was told that it wasn’t kid friendly haha

Man I remember seeing some rendition of alien encounter at the age of 4 or 5 which would be around 2000-01. I remember it not being that scary but my mom was screaming at the top of her lungs telling my brother and I not to be scared, we even still have one of the toys we bought in the gift shop after and it looked nothing like the video more like a big praying mantis
